School Programmes
We have a number of school outreach programmes that High schools, Primary schools and Nursery schools can choose from.
High schools and Primary Schools
> Dance Classes
Whether as a one off for health week or as a regular club or trained and qualified dance teachers can take classes in the following:
- general movement
- national dances from different countries
- classical ballet
- modern jazz
- tap
- street/hip hop
Hip hop and street are the more popular classes and tend to be more important to a younger generation. Our teachers always keep abreast of the latest trends in dance and music so often go down to London to take classes or to learn the latest trends in this vast subject.
> Half day workshops
These workshops are tailored to the needs of individual classes. The idea is that our dance and drama workshops back up what the students have been learning through their class projects.
Nursery and Primary Schools
> Boogie with the Magic Box
This is a very popular nursery activity which has found great success in Edinburgh and West Lothian.
This music and movement class takes the children to a different land each weekusing the same movements within different stories thereby building strength and confidence in the children without their interest waning.
