Magic Box
This class is Dance:Ed’s introduction to music and movement. The class aims to train young dancers in the techniques of classical ballet, jazz and tap while keeping the children’s interest and imagination sparked. We visit a different land each week, encouraging children to use their imagination and become confident in their ability to move, communicate and think as an individual. At the end of every session the children learn the Boogie with the Magic Box routine which is danced to up beat music and is often performed at the end of year dance show.
This class is offered to nursery-aged children. We usually take on children from the age of three but we understand that children hit stages in their development at different ages so we can be flexible. We do however, ask that your child knows how to use the toilet and their ability to communicate is well developed.

Technique Classes
At Dance:Ed we know how important it is for our students to feel confident in their abilities and their technique, and feel confident enough to show off their skills in front of their peers. It is for this reason that all our technique classes incorporate more than one dance technique so that students can achieve good strong training building confidence in their skills.
Classical ballet and modern jazz are necessary to build strength, improve flexibility and encourage discipline. Tap is very good for coordination, rhythm and musicality. Street and hip hop is a dance style very important to this generation as it is a popular dance technique of this time. Learning this style will help build confidence among peers.
Of course we know that every dancer has a technique they prefer and sometimes more confident with. If they wanted more encouragement and to be challenged a lot more at one specific subject, private tuition is available weekly, monthly or as a one off class before an audition or just for fun.
