Dance:Ed is a professional dance company and comprises of a group of dedicated, experienced and skilled dancers who want to make dance accessible to everybody in a relaxed and enjoyable yet meaningful manner. The repertoire the company uses is all original work and is aimed to entertain audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Sara Black
Miss Sara Black started dancing from the age of three. She gained her graded examination certificates for the RAD and ISTD with the Graham School Of Dance in Bishop's Stortford. She trained for three years at the college Dance For All where she gained her teaching qualifications with the RAD.
Her dance and drama experience includes a number of professional stage shows and television appearances. Sara is now a qualified teacher, recognised by a number of examining bodies including the Royal Academy of Dance, the International Dance Teachers Association and the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing.
Stephanie Hoatson
Miss Stephanie started her training at the tender age of 3. By the age of 8 she had already made her debut professional performance on the Stage at the prestigious Edinburgh Kings Theatre. Performing alongside the likes of Cannon and Ball and Grant Stott. Her passion for performing grew up with her and soon she joined Edinburgh Music Theatre Company where she performed and danced in Carousel, Sweeney Todd, Kiss me Kate, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Oklahoma.
After School Stephanie decided that dancing was the career for her and she went on to complete her Diploma in Professional stage dance at Dance For All At The Theatre School in Edinburgh. Whilst there stephanie took up every opportunity to perform including two years in HatWalk and also some modelling work. She also worked very hard on her teaching qualifications for Imperial Society Of Teachers Of Dance and gained some valuable teaching experience along the way. Upon leaving college Stephanie did a short stint in The Taste of Scotland show at Prestonfield house hotel, whilst co creating Dance:Ed.
