Welcome to Dance:Ed!
Our dance school is a school dedicated to educating its pupils in not only the technique in a variety of different styles, but also the performance which, at Dance:Ed, we feel is important in dance education. It is what sets dance apart from other sport and art forms, not to mention helps to build confidence in individuals which contributes to their life skills. We therefore offer at least two performance opportunities per year. If we see particular talent in any of our students, we can offer a place in our musical theatre youth group Dance Theatre - see below.
Alongside our students individual performance, we feel its important for pupils to see professional performances, to inspire and encourage them to be the best they can be. We organise at least one theatre trip per year.
We offer a wide range of techniques including ballet, tap, jazz and modern which we offer examination opportunities in. We also study drama, musical theatre and look at classical greek and national dance.
